Please tell me what you would do if you're a cop, your investigating some noises one night, or looking for a suspected criminal, and then all of the sudden you see someone lunging at you out of no where??
Well, first thing, that is his report of what happened, correct?

Were there any other witnesses?

Second, first thought would've been "There is probably a reason this guy is naked and banging on the police station window. Maybe something happened to him."

If it was a frantic woman who had just been raped and was naked, would your opinion of the outcome be the same?

Would the naked woman lunge at the cop as well?

Why are you trying to make an emotional argument out of this?

It was questioned, then ruled on by a grand jury. Yet here you are still not satisfied.

Just because it was legally ruled to be justified does not mean that it was the right move

It's just funny because we've done this thread in this topic already. Now that more info comes out saying the cop was justified, all you guys are still saying the same crap. Is there anything that will justify this for y'all?

I'm guess not.

Deaths of citizens by the police force should involve emotions

Just admit you've made you mind up, and nothing will possibly change your mind.

If it was my kid, the first question would have been, what the hell was he doing acting all strange, naked and banging of the police station. What kind of drugs/alcohol was he on? How did he get it? Who was with him when he was getting plastered? Only once those questions were answered would I ask why the police did what they did. Once I was able to understand thay my stupid arse kids was acting like a complete jackass, I'd like to think I'd be a little more understanding that Joe PoPo put a bullet in him becuase he appeared to be a threat.

Personal accountability isn't too big on these guys priority list.

Possibly. "Lunge" is term which extends to any rapid movement toward another individual.

Didn't realize it was becoming emotional.

The crux of the matter is, we are left with one dead individual and a story told only by the shooter.

Curious why the guy would head to a police station.

That cop should have better assessment skills and not a shoot first mentality.

I mean, they just got rid of pure contributory negligence not too long ago (or they may still have it).

Hanging the victim to a raped woman is you appealing to emotion to change someone's mind. I know you know that.

The only thing that would justify this is if there was a video showing clear evidence that this cop was in imminent danger.

Without that, Scruffy will always choose the side if challenging those our society gives lethal force authority to.

If you can get that video for us, opinions may change.

Negative! It should envoke calm rational thinking and the collection of facts/evidence so that an appropriate action can be taken. Emotional responses lead to incorrect decisions.

Like shooting an unarmed, 130lb naked kid

I'll still never understand why police officers are not required to wear some kind of video recording device.
