That's whats wrong with parents today. Let the kid have some privacy. Think of how you would have liked it if your parents were basically spying on you 24 hrs of the day.

Trust your kids, you never know, they may end up surprising you in a good way.

no, there is no expectation of privacy for pics sent over the internet to a cellphone owned by a parent and receipt of unsolicited pics from minor is not illegal, but she better make darn sure that she does not forward or otherwise circulate those pics.

Not really the same. Lot more information is shared today (texts, social media, etc.) than a diary.
