My take on New Jersey

Am on vacation, and went to Chinatown today, the family is staying in Newark until we go on to upstate New York. Let me put it this way, if the United States was a house, New Jersey would be the septic tank.
Worst freaking state I have ever been to in my life. Newark is a giant crap hole with the worst conditions I have ever seen in a city in my life.
On the flip side, met some LSU fans in Chinatown today, almost felt a kindred spirit seeing someone else from the south.

Parts of Jersey suck and some parts are great. The area around Princeton is one of the nicest places in the country.

Nice generalization, considering that you picked the shittiest city in the state in which to stay. There are parts of NJ that are downright beautiful. But that can be said about any state.

I lived in New Jersey for a year...around Newark was a dump...get away from that and it is as nice as most states.

What a shitty job.

One of my buddies was from Ridgewood, NJ, and from what I have seen, it is a pretty regular place. He was a normal dude

Trenton is far, far worse.
There are definitely nice parts of New Jersey, but the bad parts are just about as bad as they get.

Also New Jersey is a terrible state overall.

Parts of the Jersey turnpike had some great roads. Newark has the worst roads I have ever been on in my life. Only in the north do you have to pay a toll to ride the interstate too. What's up with that?
I hope there are better parts, cause this part is a shitehole. It took me two hours following a GPS to get to Burger King last night and got routed through the g - hett-o. Looked like Detroit on meth.
Only staying here cause the wife and the other family's wife made our reservations at Marriott courtyard by the airport so that we could daytrip into the city for a couple of days before going upstate.
I have to say though, the New Yorker's in the city were all very nice, very friendly and cool.
Cool side note, Mickey D's in Chinatown is cheaper than any McDonalds in the south. Weird but true.

Those poor people, may God have mercy on their souls if it's worse than Newark.
Also, the area around Rutgers would make a good university blush with shame.

Judging New Jersey by newark is like judging all of Louisiana by north Baton Rouge.
Btw, what sort of fricking idiot stays in newark when they come to the NYC area? I feel bad for your parents, as I do for all parents of special needs children.

It's a very weird state and pretty much a police state.

I love new jersey and that entire area because there is a 24 hour diner on every corner.

What's so great about pumping your own gas? On my symbols of freedom continuum, I'm not even sure it rates.

Lol, only staying here 2 nights so as to go into NYC.

Way to judge an entire state by one part of a city you stayed in
