Round one. From this point forward he is suspect and will face race- shaming. Thirty years from now when he wins The Republican nomination, Time Magazine will run a cover story on his shameful, racist past.

Your premise is certainly believable as I assume you (and I) were smartasses.

Yep. No trips to the hall for me. It was straight to the office. Do not pass Go. Do not collect 200 dollars.

Paddling in my day.

Pro tips: wear thick jeans and don't start crap in any class where a football coach was the teacher.

I lived in the hall

Only went to the office twice. Once for the gay thing and another time for smiling non stop in class with my friend

I went to the hall like twice.

The rest was detention or the teacher's room across the way because my teacher couldn't handle me AND the class. Haha.

That being said, why is a kid learning about the UNCF in a history class?

Instead of getting onto your kid they'd have done better explaining at his age.

Sad thing is that our military is the same way. Can't say/do half the things I did even eight years ago. When you have a workplace full of younger adults who've generally been raised to be more sensitive and instinctively overreact at a word instead of taking it in context, you have to tippy toe around a lot more to not put yourself in a situation to lose your career.

It's sad that as a whole we've come to this.

End rant

That's what happens when you combine people that shouldn't be allowed near a school with liberal fruitcakes.

This would be clever if it weren't so tired. Words are infused with meaning by history, people, and what we call language. The word itself is entirely benign (again, I'm a Spanish speaker and was called that in good faith in Latin America). But people who use it here do so to make a point. And that speaks volumes about how they view their place in the world (and others by proxy).

Really??

Well if I may be the one to help you to hone your "point grasping" skills, the connotation of "negro" hasn't changed in 40 years among people with a lick of common sense.

Actually hasn't changed since the 16th century Mr. Navy 74
