She's so much happier with her stupid hair and liberated lifestyle, right?

Yeah I am trying to figure out if this is supposed to be a flex or just a silent cry for help.

I dont give these folks any attention. I live my life in full avoidance of them with the absolute minimal interaction as possible and to be perfectly frank, I dont care what happens to them throughout our continued history.

Its not because they like to play dress up, its because this is how they decided they want to get attention versus working hard to get attention the proper way.

Yes, I usually comment, "Yes we know, and we weep for your generation."

Agreed. Everyone should act as if they dont exist, at all. Teach your kids that as well. You arent being mean, you just arent playing their game. Do nothing violent, keep peaceful, just completely shut these people out. Remember their parents might be the problem.

I think about this often.

I’m 37. When my dad was 37 he had two children and was starting his own business. Bought a home in a nice neighborhood and was 15 years from retirement.

Goddamn I’m worthless.

It's usually always a parenting thing. Usually with no discipline/repercussions for actions or at some cases abuse. These people all have mental illnesses that they never fixed at some points in their lives. For the younger generation it's always a popularity contest. Who can be the weirdest, who can get the most likes on a damn social media post. Heads in the fricking sand. I find it incredibly annoying how a lot of young people take political/worldly advice from celebrities. Those people should not have a platform to express their uneducated views. They don't live in the real-world.

No but my parents love to make passive aggressive comments like “you were 6 when we were your age” at family functions

I don't get it at all.

I usually think people/family members in old photos tend to look much older than people of corresponding ages today.

I think about this at times, not in the weird sense that this person seems to be doing, but in that my parents had kids way before I did. I couldn't imagine raising a kid when I was 20 or 21 years old. But, I was still married at 25.

Ive seen a bunch of these and they're usually tongue in cheek. Something like the mom and dad with a house and 3 kids at 24, vs 24 year old kid making memes on the internet or whatever.

I'm not exactly sure what this one is getting at.

I had a kid when I was 27, which is probably fairly early these days.

My mom had 3 kids by the time she was 25.

if i had to guess: most of these people complain about their lives on social media quite a bit. more often than not blaming generations before them for their own problems?

boring.

It's a meme trend of people making fun of themselves for not being as far long as their parents were at the same age.

This thread reads like a Facebook post full of elderly people.
