Except that card for Rainach for Governor. That’s Louisiana and it was Willie Rainach who was a segregationist member of the Louisiana House and maybe later in the LA Senate. He killed himself in the late ‘70s and at the time was the head of the Klan in that neck of the woods.

He figured big in Governor Earl Long's years, as well.

60's and 70's radical paperwork can have a surprising value. It will be interesting to see how it does when you sell it.

I don’t have Worthpoint. What’s the name and what did it sell for?

And what’s it name?

The dessert/chakka boot and the Godzilla are good buys. Sell those and you may dig your way out of this hole you got yourself in.

I have a "Brace" and a set of "bits" that was my dads. Mine looks to be a little "Newer" than the pictures posted in this post.

What I have was maybe bought in the late '40's. I remember using this to drill a hole in wood back when I was maybe 8 or 9 years old.

FYI... when the tip of the bit pokes through the wood, it is best to stop and start drilling from the other side.

This makes a smooth cut on each side.

As always, I will be watching this topic to see what this is worth.

Y’all keep posting links to drill braces, but they are not the same brand as mine, which could be big money. It looks like mine is marked “Heilem”, but I don’t see that name anywhere

This was the one piece that made me drive down there this morning. The Apollo 17 press pass button. I missed it by 30 seconds. I offered the guy that had it $50, he said no.
I probably would have kept this for a while. I like NASA stuff (shite, I don’t need to start a new collection)

Shudder, I hate to suggest this, but could the Dore illustrations be worth more removed from the book?

That really doesn't surprise me.
That was the means of communication and advertising back then. When interest faded for anything people just wadded it up and either used it to start the kindling or threw it in the trash. Even if someone did keep it, it was probably just shoved in a drawer or cabinet and not given a thought as to its condition.
True original papers/posters from that time period in good condition are rare.
I have a 1964 Montgomery Ward and a 1965 Sears catalog, both intact, but you can tell they haven't been curated in a museum. Fun to look through though. They are like a snapshot back in time since I was born in 1965.

Yea, I guess it makes sense that commies wouldn't have money to throw around on collectibles.
