Can't imagine not having him here.

He's 73 and his kidneys and liver are shutting down and his potassium levels are extremely high.

He called me last night and told me to get ready for the worst.

I feel completely helpless!

I'm sorry to hear that. It is a terrible feeling but unfortunately part of life. I'll keep your family in my thoughts.

Cherish the remaining moments you have with him. Some people aren't lucky enough to share the end of life with the people they love. It may be difficult, but one day you will be glad you got to.

I hate to hear it for you buddy. Go spend some time with him. Me and my dad were never close and when he died it was just another day to me. Be thankful for the time you have had with him.

I pray that he will turn around and get better. God bless you and your family.

Sorry to hear this. Spend every moment you can with him and don't hold back telling him everything you want to say and asking him everything you want his advice on.

Go be with him

My dad with unexpectably at 49 two years ago right after thanksgiving. I'd kill for the chance you have now. Spend as much time as you can with him.

don't be afraid to talk to him about death and dying. remind him it's in a blink of an eye all of us will be together again. so sorry, I'm prepping for this as best I can. Easier said than done. Good luck. Best wishes.

Hate to hear that man. I just pray that your family can focus on the good times while dealing with the grief. If you're a religious man, know that he is going to a better place for eternity (although it's never completely comforting in a time like this).

73 still too young yet at least he lived a good while. Let him know you will take care of momma. You will see him again someday. Feel for you.
