And I couldn't help but feel horrible and like shite seeing her scream and not being able to do anything about it . I wish she was old enough for me to take her on a Daddy daughter day for some ice cream and a movie. OT parents, how did you cope with that feeling of helplessness and does it get better/easier during the second round of shots at 4 months?

Just be glad you're taking care of your kid unlike those anti-vaccine lunatics.

It sucks watching them get shots at that age but just remember it is to keep them healthy and prevents them from having to suffer worse, more prolonged stuff later.

shite. Wait til 12 or 18 month. I can't remember which. They are old enough to look at you while screaming. The eyes look to you saying," Why would you let someone do this to me. They are hurting me!!"

Get back to us after that one.

Man, you are going to have to toughen up. Just comfort the kid but you have to steel yourself to the cries, because they cry all the fricking time. Most of the time, they cry over nothing or just some bullshite.

she has already forgotten the shots, and as she gets older you'll have to let her to continue to experience life in its fullest,

sadly that includes pain

On the spectrum of parenting memories, this will barely register as a blip in time.

My daughter is about 3.5 months old. When we went in for the 2 mo's she took the shots, cried for about 5 seconds and was done crying. She took them like a champ. The next few days will suck for you because she'll have a fever and cry a lot, but it only lasts about 2-3 days.

Neither of you will remember it in a couple of days.

I had to watch my son get catheterized at less than a year old. I was a wreck.
