I live just outside of New Orleans....I am not going to Gulf Shores for the cuisine.

Seriously, a successful trip to Gulf Shores for me means I do not have to go further west of 59 than the beach express and thats only coming in and going out.

I only at at Cobalt once, last year for lunch and I hear everyone speak highly of the place, but I just didn't see it. I honestly don't remember anything about what we had. I didn't know anything about the place before arriving, so it had no expectations, but it certainly left no impression either. I'll have to give it another shot I guess for dinner.

I remember several years back, I'd use to run into so many more people that I knew down there.

but as the years went on... this thing got bigger and bigger.

it got to where I'd see like 10-15 people I knew instead of like 30-40. Totally guessing on these numbers but you know what I'm saying.

the newer, bigger crowds made it more enjoyable.

You like staying in those huge places? We always rent a house in Fort Morgan when we go to that area.

Something like this:

When we just have the fam, we will usually get a fat beach house at Grayson, but for the multi family meeting up with half the berry, we will hit up the Phoenix X.

Should I be disappointed or proud that my dad had done surprisingly well in his division for the mullet toss. Multiple years in a row.

There's one on Ft. Morgan that overlooks Mobile Bay and one in Orange Beach that overlooks Cotton Bayou and the pass.

(And one in Gulf Shores that overlooks the intercoastal waterway and one in Mobile that overlooks the Bay and delta)

That's where I saw the mens 4x100 swimming relay come back (Phelps medal chase and Lezak comeback) in 2008 not that anyone cares.
