Where are you going to work. I wouldn't live anywhere near the Galleria unless that is where you are going to work.

I live in the Heights, but it sounds like it might not be for you. If you are working on the west end then I would rent out in Memorial.

Does anyone have a website with simple maps of the ISD's for the Houston area? The best think i can find is the realtor websites that just list what schools are assigned to certain houses. I would rather an overall map with boundary lines showing the ISD's

I've been to Houston. It's terrible.

What made it so terrible for you? Other than traffic. Traffic is a given anywhere. Someone's patience level is a better gauge of their ability to stand the commute in any city I think.

I'm selling my house in Willow Meadows, starting in January or February. Look up the area, and let me know what you think (south of Meyerland, "on" the Loop). Never floods there. You'll love my "LSU Room".

Three bedroom, fully remodeled, mini-man-cave, lots and lots of updates. I moved there in my early-30s too.

phutureisyic, you replied to my post, so I am wondering if your implication is that "Houston is heavily hispanic" (which is true) or that "Willow Meadows / Meyerland is heavily Spanish-speaking" (mostly untrue).
