More Important World War? One? Or two?

I know for us, the more important war was two. But in the world's view, didn't WWI spark the events of WWII?

I don't think anyone denies WW2 is the direct cause of WW1.

Or go to far. The crippling economic sanctions put on Germany post WWI were designed so this would never happen again but they no doubt fueled WWII.

World War II because it was the true end to WWI. World War I was more gruesome in the trenches though.
