Nevermind what state law says. Millennials of drinking age are getting turned away from a slew of spots catering to older, more mature crowds.
Washington, D.C. watering hole Dew Drop Inn made headlines recently for posting a sign reading, “We welcome guests 24 years old & up.” Fed up bar owner Matt Szymanski says the note was a result of long-standing problems with Fireball shot fanatics and Red Bull-vodka guzzling revelers near Catholic University.
“That sign came out of a point of frustrations,” Szymanski tells the Daily News of the ageist ban.. “You get to a certain age and you know how to act when you go out.”

21 year olds have always been immature, no matter what age group they're classes in.

Nothing new. I know of a few Chicago bars that are 25 or 26+ for males. I like the policy.

If I'm old enough to die in Iraq for Uncle Sam I'm old enough to go inside Dew Drop Inn.

Nope, you're wrong. 21 year olds didn't get immature until I turned 26. Come to think of it, a lot of things in this country went to shite then.

24 is still a millennial.
How about telling us a good "you might be a millennial if..." joke.

This makes too much sense. You should be ashamed of yourself for posting it

GenXers didn't binge drink. And if we did, we knew how to handle our liquor. It's amateur hour with this younger crew.

So they want less people to spend money at their bar. Makes sense.

GenXers didn't binge drink.
By my calculations they popularized drinking games, the beer funnel, keg stands, & beer pong.

I remember seeing 25+ on some bars when I first moved to New Orleans area in 2008. It's not like this is new.

Surely, you don't have this simplistic of a view?

At that bar, if it was
Females => 18 and up
Males => 24 and up
This guy would approve
