Monroe woman accused of macing infant

A Monroe woman is facing multiple charges following a weekend incident where an infant was sprayed with pepper spray.
According to an arrest affidavit, officers were dispatched to Bell Avenue on a disturbance call.
Upon arrival, officers talked to Ruthie Jackson who said she was at her rental property engaged in an argument with a tenant when the fight turned physical.
Jackson told officers after she was poked in the eye during the fight she sprayed pepper spray at the individual.
An infant, 12-18 months old, was also sprayed during the incident. The infant was being held at the time of the fight.

Thread title is a bit misleading. It's unclear this was intentional, but most of the comments in the thread appear to jump to that conclusion.
