"Saltaformaggio responded to text messages about an hour later, but has not been seen or heard from since."
Her responses to, the subject, and recipients of these texts is the key to where/how she is.
Did the texts say she was fighting with her BF or that she had been nabbed? Did they say she was going drinking with friends? Without knowing the content and tone, we have nothing.

If the content of the text is somehow relevant to the case, law enforcement may not be releasing it for reasons related to the case.

Correct.
All cellphones have a GPS and there is protocol for the LEO's to access it. I am sure her phone has already been recovered unless the battery was removed.
Her car may have been found already too. There are LEO's everywhere and I am sure they are all looking at the plates on every one that is similar. If found, they are surely processing it for prints and DNA. The DNA thing is rough due to backlogs and delays in processing.

Cell phone was found or the location of it was. Car has not been. Tracks were found near some body of water and they are currently searching. Can't remember where

There was about 10 cop cars out on Marconi today with divers in the bayou. No clue if connected, but that was a big response looking for something. Just past robert e lee.
