Meh. Reusable space planes. Probably just exploring any military applications for it.

I wonder why they need to wear these suits to even get close to this thing after it has returned?

They're gonna tell you it's because they use hydrazine as a monopropellant since carrying bipropellants for such long space journeys that don't get resupplied isn't space or weight efficient, but hydrazine is extremely toxic. But we all know

Or vaporizing people from orbit. We already have satellites for surveillance. shite, if Google Earth can look up my arse from space, the government sure as hell can. And why does it have a "payload compartment?" Specifically, that term. "Payload."

Because they read "The Andromeda Strain".

I'm pretty sure NASA quarantined the first astronauts, or maybe it was crews that had an EVA, after they returned home. Didn't want them bring back some kind of scary space virus that might wipe out humanity.

We can't even begin to imagine some of the secret stuff our military's developed.

I remember when they tested a modified version of the X-43 off the coast of California. It flew for four minutes (a record for scramjet flight) and was purposefully crashed into the ocean ... over 400 miles away.

At those speeds you could fly from LA to Hawaii in 22 minutes. That's a game changer there boys.

ICBMs fly from Kansas to Moscow in 30.

One thing they are interested in doing is in-space manufacturing.

What's the name of the place on the North Shore where they are supposedly experimenting with weather modification or something else wild like that?

I doubt the "cool" factor of the SR-71 is never topped.

Just bad-arse looking and so damn fast.

I always liked the Valkyrie as well.

The moon landing was fake. Flags don't ripple or wave in the vacuum of space devoid of atmosphere

Nothing more badass than a plane that can outrun a missile. Full capabilities of that aircraft are still unknown

The SR-71 was badass, but it wasn't faster than some of the SAMs launched at it. Flying at 80,000', it had about a 15 mile headstart.

This was the first thing I thought of. It's getting close enough that its progress needs to be monitored more and more closely. I think Trump will be the last president with a chance to disclose what is coming before it actually happens.

Holy shite. I didn't even put 2+2 on your Crossbow Link. I was going grab the exact video.

We're old.

BC I bet a testicle, regardless of intention, there's radiation from lasers or the nuclear experiments they were conducting on that spacecraft.

I was just messing with him...you think a guy named biohzrd would know what a biohzrd suit was used for...namely biohzrd

I'm going with hydrazine or the like...mundane, yet toxic efficient propellants
