We always assume that we have the best. I've wondered where the US was lacking and why.

Doesn't seem like something that ought to be answered on TD.

The fricking Geneva Convention, our ROE's, etc.

This is no longer the fricking 1800's. Nobody else cares how they go about their war, so why should we?

It makes for good conversation between the enlisted around here. Was a random thought so I might as well give it a post.

The media screwing them one. It's absurd how quickly we announce new improvements. The Chinese have a 'stealth' fighter that's been seen by the public like twice in 4 years, the USA would of shown it off twice in 4 days.

Tracked IFV. And no, the M2 does not count. Our mechanized infantry still relies heavily on the M113.

No, it was part of some treaty that we never signed but followed anyway. A few posters know more about it than me. Maybe they'll chime in.

It all depends on who ya ask.

Some talking head melting down on one of the MSM outlets just yesterday referred to the military budget and claimed it was due to our "insatiable desire" to have all the latest greatest way "to kill the world".

About that time I changed the channel

As long as we have the only blue water navy able to operate in every ocean on the globe simultaneously, I don't think your question really matters.

I think we just need more ships and man power for the navy and marines.

That and a I don't give a shite attitude in regards to the roe, Hague and Geneva convention

I am just throwing these things out there, but I can't imagine any other country being significantly ahead of us in terms of technology. I would like to know if we maximize our capabilities. Someone mentioned the media, it does seem like the media does have too much access to the military, which could obviously be a problem.

will a hollow point work? Medium range shots? Wind? ANY cover?

I would think a hollow round would drift and if it hit one twig its going who knows where?

Admittedly not a ballistics expert.
