Shiiit man. You poor and stuff. Why would anyone want to go there.
That's good stuff. Looks amazing.

I loved Cabo, I'm without a doubt going back one day. I felt more safe in the main area of Cabo San Lucas than I do in the Quarter. Can't speak for San Jose del Cabo but my understanding is that it's for the older more laid back crowd, even less to be concerned about safety-wise.

frick Mexico. Worked near Brownsville about 5 years ago and had to go to the Matamoras plant all the time. It's a different fricking world.
You would have to wonder just what in the hell is the Mexican gov't thinking. It would seem that getting more tourist coming to their country would cause them to go all out on the drug cartels. I guess that there is so much greasing of the hands of the politicians, cops, judges, etc. that no one will take the country back from the thugs. However, we did help get rid of some of them the last 8 yrs....now they won't take them back!

There's simply no authority control anywhere in the government or bureaucracy. Same cultural pathology that is responsible for most of Latin America.

Yeah, but it makes you question why if we are such a great well run country why we can't stop our continued drug related killings done daily all across the land.

I know Mexico sends a lot of weed up here, but for the life of me, I don't know who the hell smokes it and why.
Every ghetto in the US smokes nothing but shitty Mexican brick

Legalize weed and a lot of the cartel will not be our problem.
Even dirt cheap, the cartels would produce it cheaper and sell it cheaper. Less incentive for violence when it is dirt cheap but even then there would be some violence protecting every last peso.
Plus then would just ramp up pill production to offset weed reductions.

This is like saying we should've kept prohibition because bathtub gin and moonshine would be just too cheap. People who have a choice will typically go with a higher quality if given the choice. A black market will always exist but I doubt it will be at the levels you're predicting.

I've been to Isla Mujeres twice in the past year. Not once did we feel unsafe. It's a fantastic destination.
My son and I are going to Cabo for 10 days in October during the Tequila and Mariachi festival. It's his graduation trip and neither of us have any worries.
Then again, we're well traveled and know how to conduct ourselves when out of the country and what areas to avoid.

You obviously have never stayed at the One and Only Palmilla.

Exactly. I travel to Mexico at least monthly for business (Aguascalientes). Never have I felt uncomfortable or threatened except when I stood up during a bull fight and was blocking the view of someone behind me.

They aren't even talking about it over at r/mexico so it can't be that big of a story.

Legalized weed is dirt cheap and FAR superior to anything the Mexicans are capable of mass growing.

Makes sense. It's been many years since I ventured into the ghetto.

We go to Cabo every June for 2-3 weeks and absolutely love it. If you wouldn't mind post a handful of additional pics and mention a few things about the restaurants/bars/hotel I will add your review into the sticky right away.
Thanks! Looks like the weather was fricking amazing!

My first 6 trips I literally never saw a cloud. Not even a harmless wispy cloud..
Last august I got a tropical storm to make up for it. We go in October for the Bisbees and the weather is usually perfect.
I'll be there in June also. 3rd-10th, maybe I can buy ya a beer
