Are you one of those adventure seekers who brag about vacationing in third world shitholes but never leave the all-inclusive resort?
No, but I do enjoy all-inclusives.
I just do not understand why people who live in relatively violent LA, MS, Al, TX cities who post on this board freak out about violence in those Mexican Resort areas. Makes no sense to me.
Compare murder rates of Quitana Roo, Baja Sur to NOLA, BR, Birmingham etc.
Americans are not visiting violent border regions and violent parts of Jalisco.

It's true if you stay in the resorts you are probably OK. But if you vacation in Mexico, you have to be careful. I'm old enough to remember when Acapulco was THE place to vacation. Now, nobody in their right mind would go there. Unfortunately, it appears the crime is slowly encroaching on the other areas as well.
Unless Mexico gets control of itself, it is heading toward being as dangerous as any place on earth.

You've never been to Mazatlan. Nothing trashy about it.

I'd be willing to bet that I've stayed at a few places in Cabo that you can't afford. And, they are fricking nice.

Is this the thread where a weird amount of people are furious for some reason that some people decide to vacation in Mexico even though Destin is closer?

The bodies had been dumped at the entrance to an upscale residential area. The area is near the resort's marina and its famous rock arch.

lol what?
Have you any idea how many multi multi millionaires vacation in Cabo? Or are 5 million dollar penthouses and 20 million dollar yachts trashy to the OT ballers?

Weed is the big chunk of their business and funds their hard drug operations. Weed is their most profitable operation as well. If they shotgun a bunch of weed over the line and half of it gets seized, they still make money. You can't take hits like that with heroin, coke, or meth amd still continue to make money
I know Mexico sends a lot of weed up here, but for the life of me, I don't know who the hell smokes it and why.

Blows my mind why anyone would want to go to Mexico
There's some really nice places in Mexico. Just stay the hell away from the border.

I'm headed to Jamaica by myself next week and I rented a house in Westmoreland Parish. Looking forward to an amazing trashy Jamaican experience!

Just got back from a month in Mexico. We stayed in a condo at a Bahia Principe resort down the road from Akumal (Tulum about 15 miles further south). It is neither trashy nor dangerous. Been going for 15 years. Always rent a car and explore. Great value right now because of exchange rate (20 pesos to the dollar). We go in the winter/spring to avoid the spring breakers here at the beach her in NW Florida.

I made some local connections about 5 years ago and stumbled into an amazing situation.

That's where this heroin epidemic came from. It's a direct result of defacto legalization of marijuana in the U.S. cutting into the cartel's business.
That, and doctors over prescribing opioid pills, pushed by educated whores representing the great American cartel, the pharmaceutical industry.
But junkies deserve what happens to them.
(am I doing it right?)

Cartels drop bodies in tourist areas when they get pressure from the government. This is nothing new. Bodies harm politics at every level and they know it

Here are a just a few pics that clearly show the trashiness DickLeverage speaks of about my favorite lower middle class vacation spot.
