Legit awful news to me. They're almost all gone and they should never be forgotten for what they brought to music.

One of the smoothest voices ever.
I knew every Merle hit by the time I was 12 and have them on my music in my phone even today. Some of my greatest memories are up at the hunting camp when I was a boy shooting rats with my pellet gun watching all the other dad's drunk off their arse around a fire singing Merle and Conway.
Good times. Rest easy Hag and ride those Silver Wings to eternity!

Saw him at the River Center a year or so ago - legendary. He walked out on stage, said hi, continued to play for two hours straight then said good night.
