Just doesn't have the same ring to it.

It is. Still a great trainer but they are old as dirt.

Miss State has aeronautical engineering; not a lot of schools in the South offer that.

Beautiful bird, but it's old old. There's a couple of training squadrons at Columbus AFB, that fly the Talon. They will be moving to the T-100 eventually.

I just looked up the T100. That's a nifty looking little jet. Looks nimble AF.

No one is doubting that.

I enjoyed flying the 38. Hell the avionics in that thing spoiled me in comparison to the mighty mighty.

It's based on the Italian Aermacchi M-346 frame.

The Navy and Air Force currently use the same T6 Texan II primary flight trainer, but there is nothing at this time that indicates the navy has any interest in the T100 platform. Both branches have used the same aircraft several different times in the past most notable the F4 phantom.

shows how old I am, at the time there was nothing but a few steam gauges and and some slow gyros, I remember going out for a little two ship work one morning and I thought I was the only one out there, was BSing with the chief and the lead taxis buy looking at me and tapping his watch, cranked that thing up and caught up, fricking ADI never spun up during the entire lesson

Only if Raytheon is selected. The competition is still open.
