We talked about this last week. Don't project your situation as the norm for women. To the men: Showers are part of growing up. Embrace it and make the best of em with booze

Who scheduled you to go?? Despite what populare culture on TV and movies will tell you, you don't have to do what your wife tells you. Just tell her no.

Bring the beta dad that's allowing this some shitty bourbon in a baby bottle and make him drink out of it the entire party.

I like this idea.

I went to one once and drank a lot of beer and watched sports the entire time. I barely even spoke to the pregnant lady.

My sister and brother in law had separate showers. All the women went their house and all the men went to his buddies house down the street and ate BBQ

This sounds like a really cool idea.

I've never seen so many people cry about hanging out with friends while drinking free booze and eating free food.

Talk about the BBC that got them pregnant and laugh about how they tied down the "fathers" for child support.

The only time I ever go to a couples shower is when crawfish and kegs are involved.

That would have made it a lot better. It ended up being ok, my wife only made us stay for 2 hours. I drank as much as I could during that time period.

Neither my time or gift for them was free.

but mikel, you're missing a golden opportunity here. there's no room for real advice. the whole point of this thread is to:

1. post whore with your unfunny alter that you piggybacked from an actual funny person
2. try to bury your IRL insecurities with "beta" comments

It's no big deal really.
