In the market for a new mattress, and after laying on a memory foam, I believe I am sold on this option.

I have some back issues and prefer to sleep on a firm mattress. I have read a good amount of reviews, and also looked at sleep like the dead reviews.

What I am weary of is the mattress I have thought to be a good fit for me is not available anywhere around town, and has to be ordered online. It makes me a little uneasy spending money on a mattress I have never laid on.

Has anyone had any experience with Sleep Innovations Sure-Temp mattress? What about buying a mattress online that you have never laid on?

Consumer reports rates the Costco one pretty highly. My wife and I went to get one, but got the topper instead. Our mattress was only 3 years old or so.

My boy just got the Costco brand and likes it but they've been on it a week or so at most.

My wife and I got an iComfort by Serta with the cooling gel beads on the surface. I never had "bad sleep" or even cared about my mattress prior to that. But I'll be d@mned if the Serta isn't the most comfortable sleep I've ever had.

One important note: Going Memory Foam is going to reduce some natural advantages spring mattresses provide when Operation: Dove Release is in effect. Just saying.

I have the sleep innovations

I believe they allow free returns if you don't like it

I've had it for about 3 years or so. Very pleased with it

I have a life-hack for you.

Buy a cheap futon mattress and then buy a sheet of 4" memory foam and put it on top of it. It's like sleeping on a tit, and it never wears out.

I second this, worth every penny. A couple of my wife's friends stayed at our house to watch our dogs while we were on vacation and they still rant and rave about how comfortable our bed was.

I keep hearing about these casper mattresses. Supposedly they are highly rated (and cool) memory foam mattresses, but much cheaper because they only sell direct to the consumer, cutting out the middle men.

If your in BR go see Billy Cheek on Florida. Bought a King memory foam for him for $1200. They make the mattresses onsite.

I hear gel topper is crucial because the regular memory foam holds body heat like crazy.

Laid on one in the store, didn't really hold a candle to the tempurpedic IMHO.

Plus, if it's going to be as expensive as Serta iComfort, I'd rather just fork over the rest for the best.

Sleep Innovations has got some pretty good reviews, and is significantly cheaper. I can buy 3-4 Sleep Innovations mattress for every tempurpedic. Serta was more than half the cost of tempurpedic.

I'm just concerned that this Sleep Innovations won't even hold a candle to Serta, and I'm stuck with a POS.

Icomfort by Serta and Temperpedic are not helping my back at all. I don't know which mattress I will choose next. I know I won't spend $3000-4000 on a mattress ever again.

This. You need another dirty spring mattress under your tempurpedic frame for when you really want to get busy.

Saw this brand on sleep like the dead.

Are they really that good? Looks like another mattress that I won't be able to lay on before purchasing. At least with Sleep Innovations through Amazon I could return it.

And I've read the cons about memory foam in regards to sex, sleep like the dead even has that as a rating category. Definitely not going to be a factor in deciding what mattress I will choose.

Nah, the industry caught up. They've done stuff like adding ventilation to the mattresses through the middle and the gel beads and exterior surfaces to help them dissipate.

Beyond that, get some 300-320 Bamboo Sheets and you'll be towtrucked brah. 300-320 in Bamboo is like 5,000,000 Threadcount Egyptian Alien Cotton or some sh!t.

we bought a tempurpedic this year.

while i love it and it's an amazing bed, i think just about any other bed you see mentioned here would be just as fine for a lesser price.

i'm pretty sure we overpaid for what we can get from others, but my wife sleeps pretty poorly and has back problems and she was the one who wanted to get something nicer. it has been great for her.

after she laid down the one we got, i couldn't even talk her into some of the other ones mentioned.
