Serious question, I wonder how women are going to feel when out in public at a restaurant or the gym or something and he walks into the womens' room to change or use the facilities. If I was a woman, I wouldn't freak out or anything, but I would almost surely be a little uncomfortable.

Correct, if he wants to be a weird freak then have at it. But that shouldn't be forced down our throats by the media under the guise of telling us how brave he is. Media outlets are going to go out of their way to say how wonderful this is in fear that if they don't they'll get criticized for being insensitive. There are weird, crazy people all over the country living perfectly happy lives, that doesn't mean everyone else wants to hear about it.

The media is just reporting it. It's the public that's reacting to it.

I don't see what's so difficult about simply not watching any news about him on TV, or staying out of threads like these. People that say they want nothing to do with it invariably are the main ones going on and on about it. You're adding fuel to the fire.

If those opposed to it simply ignored it, how quickly would all of this go away. Pro-Jenner advocates feed off of your dissent.

sure, as long as they aren't disrupting anything and it's not led by a school employee.

I watch sportscenter before work in the morning, they talk about bruce. I listen to radio on the way to work, talking about bruce. I get on TD when I get to work, multiple boards (ot, msb, secot) talking about jenner. I get on facebook, they're talking about jenner. I go to practically any website on the internet, there's a blub about jenner. Unless you sealed off from all media you're going to hear about it.

Yeah, posting in a 19+ page thread on the OT is really fanning the flames.

lulz. Already been stated that unless I didn't get on the internet or watch TV for a week, it'd be impossible not to hear it.

What I think or post on this board has literally NO bearing on how quickly the media is going to milk this.

Why are we celebrating chicks with dicks?

Jenner is the biggest attention whore of all attention whores.

So you're upset that other people want to talk about it? That doesn't force you to engage the topic.

Disney/abc is throwing it at the kids hard. I've seen about 100 commercials for "being us" or whatever the freak show is called on abc family where they sit down an 8 year old and explain to him how normal transgenders are.

Fyi.

I guess I am upset that this is what is important in America for EVERY news outlet to talk about. Especially when the population as a whole couldn't point out where Ukraine is on a map.

If we would actually care about real news and happenings in the world, this country would be so much better off. So yes, I am upset people want to talk about it.

First of all, I've never said anything at all about being upset.

And no, I'm not "upset" that people talk about it. People have to fill the hours talking about something, if it wasn't this it'd be somethign else. My issue with it is that the media is trying to portray this sick freak as something that we need to embrace and recognize as courageous, when in reality we shouldn't acknowledge it at all. It's an abomination.

You can control whether you acknowledge it or not.
