It does sound a little like that time Hillary claimed she tried to join the Marine Corps but they rejected her. There's no record that ever happened.
Or that time Barack Obama claimed he once thought about joining the military, but then decided not to.

I used to work with a police officer just like her. She had a huge chip on her shoulder and thought everyone hated her because she was a female and black. We didn't like her because she was incompetent and dangerous.
