Craigslist or the dump. Or toss it in the woods near a high school so the teenagers have a place to bang.

Bring it to Salvation Army or call them to pick up. Plenty of people after this flood will take it and need it.

We did call the Salvation army, but they said are not taking mattresses.
I hate to take it to the dump when I know people may need one with the flooding.

Dump on a neighbor's lawn. Make it their problem. You're welcome.

The place you bought it from didn't offer to take the old one?

Yep, I always have the seller of the new one agree to deliver ... and haul away the old one.

You could use the free section of Craigslist. Curbside special, or come and get it, are common titles.

Where are you? If you're in baton rouge there are a few charities who will actually pick it up from your house

Dump it behind a shopping center. The heroin addicts will thank you.

I brought ours to the local thrift store, (Cajun Village on highway 90), give each of them a call or call local churches that are taking donations for flood victims.

Here in Denver, we have a couple companies that will recycle the mattresses for a small fee (around $20). If no charities are accepting donations, you might look into that in your area.
