I always want to ask the older folks in these threads, when do you basically stop? I mean, at some point, cranking a bunch of cialis or viagra isn't even really worth it if you're not that attracted to the person anymore. And at some point, the woman doesn't want to deal with old balls.

Since you don't initiate it very often, ask yourself why not.
Are you not feeling it? Are you gassy? Eating too much sugar? Smell bad? Tired?
If you think she's attractive, then it's something about you.

You really can't fairly compare each couple. Every couple will be different. There isn't a perfect "average," cause the number will vary for each couple.

Married 14 years- I think this is the most truthful thread I've ever seen on here.
OP- your situation is not normal- at least I hope not. With that said, I bet you and your wife still love each other very much.
Two things I've read lately that are very good:
1. The book- 5 Love Languages. Don't laugh- I learned about it at my hunting camp- best thing you and your spouse will ever read. Go and get it today- don't screw around.
2. There was a very good article in the WSJ a couple of weeks ago about what makes a successful relationship with your spouse. You and her really need to read it- it should be easy to find on Google.
Don't get angry with her- you guys need to figure out what's changed. Being busy and having kids isn't an excuse- both my wife and I are busy professionals with kids. She has a major commute and I travel internationally monthly.
Don't give up on her or yourself.
