Taking reservations for June 30th. I know a co-worker who has room reservations for 4th of July. They haven't been advertising their Grand Opening which is slightly worrisome that they will make this opening deadline.

Taking your kids to a casino? I live on the coast but I have no idea.

Yeah, casinos have pools and arcades and shite. Not sure if you've heard about that kind of stuff.

This Margaritaville doesn't even have a casino btw. As much as you pimp the Miss coast I thought you would know about this. It's a family resort.
I'm sure it will be cheesy and come with all the other junk of a low rate resort, but I'm always looking for places to bring the kids within an easy drive of Nola and I refuse to go to Blue Bayou.

is it a AI resort?

Just curious, with all of the places on resort to eat, i assumed it would have AI and non AI, options

I know nothing about resorts. If we can't rent a house or a cabin we don't go. You looked for rentals?

I pimp BSL, no idea why people go anywhere else.

They'll be open on time.. Last weekend the land shark bar did a soft open for about 4 hrs. They are supposed to do another soft open this weekend for a couple of the restaurants.

Casino/boutique shopping center will be announced in September apart of phase 2.

That's what I would look for when going to Destin, etc.

This sounds like it will be pretty neat. Not a lot of fun places to take the kids within a few hours of Nola.

Honestly, seems like a smart move to me. I'm thinking they'll get a pretty steady flow of families looking to take long weekend trips.

Did you seriously just post a pic showing how nasty the water is there as part of your "But Biloxi is beautiful" campaign post?

same for us, cancelled a trip to Dauphin Island in September, because we couldnt find a house that fit our needs.

We'll wait and hit Cape San Blas for 2 weeks next September. Only complaint about the Cape, is the phone reception. that's it.

Reception too good? Cause if I'm on vacation, the last thing I want working is my phone.

Yup.

I grew up in Biloxi and have always felt that the coast has some very beautiful areas.

However, the color of the water from the tannins is perceived as filth but there are occasionally high bacterial loads after heavy rains.
