Why is this thread being bumped?
FWIW I grew up about two blocks from where this murder occurred. It was a big deal at time for my family for obvious reasons (being in the neighborhood). However at the time I was a sophomore at LSU and out the house. I came home only on the holidays and when I needed money, lol. I'll ask by dad this weekend if he remembers anything of significance and report back.

It got my interest-unsolved obvious hit murders of public officials that reeks of a cover up, Louisiana politics at its finest . I was young, but I faintly remember this case-back in the days of the State Times/Morning Advocate and TV news only.
