He deserves death. Plain and simple.
You cannot change the mindset of someone with that much misguided hate in their heart. It's only a matter of time before him "spitting" turns into serious violence.

So this might be the beer letting out my inner hippie, but I think this is a pretty bleak worldview. Check out the guy who co wrote Sam Harris's last book, he was a staunch jihadist who came to see the error in his thinking and now advocates Islamic reform.
I think we can change minds because, simply put, Western values are better and result in better quality of life. But saying an entire group of people are hopeless is pretty unproductive.
