On Friday morning, a 43-year-old woman told police she and her boyfriend got into an argument near Boynton Beach Inlet Park over who would drive her car. She said Gonzalez got behind the wheel, drinking Captain Morgan rum and smoking marijuana, and headed north, the report said.

While driving, she said he got angry and hit her in the head with a metal pipe. After that, he poured the rum all over her and set her hands on fire, according to the report. Police said the woman has second-degree burns.
