"I believe in freedom, so I hold myself to a specific standard while I allow the freedom haters to play by a different set of rules. Yay freedom."

Honestly, he comes across as the typical “muh freedoms” guy that doesn’t understand the difference between private companies and the government.

This is the same type that screams “muh first amendment” when someone is fired from WalMart for shite they said on social media.

he was literally doing the opposite

he was citing government laws that he doesn't understand to try and force himself onto private property

I liked when he said he had a civil right to shop at Trader Joe’s.

He was incorrectly citing the laws, but he wasn't asking the government to come and force the company to allow him to shop there.

He was demonstrating civil disobedience and demanding the company acquiesce to his request. And, guess what. They did.

Well, on one hand I totally get him being fed up and DONE with being a captive to the mask thing, and ready to get back to no masks, but on the other hand, just because the state drops their mandate, it does not mean that private business can’t have their own rules in place as a condition for you entering their private business. The two are quite different entirely.

And the good thing is, you just go somewhere else with your money and reward another grocery store that doesn’t mandate masks, and let the other one suck it up. That’s how this whole free market thing works, and that’s where your power is, in where you spend your money. You get a vote in it. Don’t spend your money with people you don’t agree with, one way or another. If enough people feel likewise, they’ll feel it, and they’re in business to make money. It will cause a change in policy, or they can go out of business. Their choice.

Wait what? No they didn't. They only let him in because if they put hands on him he'll sue. No store teaches physical intervention in their policies. That's what police are for. They didn't check him out and let him take food from what I could gather of the last 10 seconds or so.

Trader Joe's is one of the most stringent enforcers of mask wearing. It's really not worth all their bullshite restrictions.

Not sure you understand the difference between a mandate and a businesses policy.

I have a rule in my house, No Orange unless it is eatable. You show up at my door wearing anything orange and I will not let you in. My property, my rules. You don't like it you can go frick yourself.

Well yeah, unless your policy is wear one or don't. Then they get their license revoked.

He's playing the long game.

It sucks that we are where we are. But, this is the way things happen now. If you refuse to speak up and express your opinion overtly, by default, you end up with the left being the only voice and you end up with labels being put on products showing that they are minority owned. You end up with stores enforcing an unconstitutional mask mandate.

The left doesn't simply go to a place that has the mask restrictions they want. They very loudly demand and threaten these companies to bend to their will.

Here, one guy decides he's going to ignore the rule and shop, and you get all bent out of shape. He doesn't walk in and scream at those wearing masks. He doesn't create a scene. He simply was going to shop.
