“No shirt, no shoes, no service” has been a staple sign on the front door of restaurants for decades....and America seemed OK with it.

Yes. Exactly.

I agree.
But it's very constitutional for a store to require a mask. Their store, their rules.
I wouldn't go to a store if I didn't like their rules. That's my choice. And the free market will work itself out if enough people agree with me.
This guy, and you, are absolute morons that have no idea what freedom means.

agree with the guy. All you people saying he should comply or leave are morons. That’s how all this BS continues, by people “complying” wit the insanity. NUT UP and tell em to go frick themselves
There would be another 10 pages of replies if the cops showed up. You would have likely agreed all he had to have done to avoid cuffs was to shut up, comply and leave.

That's the way it used to work.
But, the times have changed. Activism is everything. And, if you sit back and allow those you disagree with to pressure companies to bend to their will while you do nothing, you've given up a lot of your voice.

supporting other businesses is not "doing nothing"
in fact, its easily the most effective way to combat bad policy

It's Trader freaking Joes. What ideology do you think a majority of their customers enjoy?

But on the last page, you said you weren't willing to protest, use social media, etc, and that it's Texas, people will just ignore.
That's not activism. But you say activism is everything.

Exactly. And what the guy in the video is doing isn't activism, it's attention whoring. He wanted attention and people are giving it to him.
Pretty pitiful honestly. Just shop somewhere else.

The activism shown in the video is the more effective activism. Direct pressure, bad public relations, and threats to sue, demanding people don't touch you as you walk through the door are the effective methods.
On this specific topic, simply ignoring the policy and shopping without masks will be very effective.

do you have any basic understanding of human nature? this type of "activism" simply causes people to dig into their already held beliefs further

That’s because people buckle and still spend their money at places they don’t agree with. They don’t like it, but they still give them their money. It’s insanity.
Want to change shite? Don’t contribute to their delinquency. Things will change. When they take a big hit to their revenue, they’ll change or go out of business, and good for society either way. We aren’t at their mercy. We have all the tools to change this, but they know we are easy, and so they do whatever they want, and say whatever they want, because they know you’ll take it, and keep on taking it. Stop the insanity. You don’t need to do anything more than just cut them off, and reward those who deserve your hard earned money.

Guy said "... when I was in California..." lmao, all I need to know. Cali loser moves to TX and is mad he can't walk over Texans. Big L.

I made an account just to bring up the fact that this guy done this to a business that my buddy owns in McKinney probably 2-3 months ago. Turns out the guy is from California, has been doing this to businesses in California before he moved to McKinney, and does this to places in McKinney including other big businesses such as Best Buy.
Edit:
He says the same exact thing every single time he steps in a business he knows that there’s a mask policy except this time he brought his kids, which sucks for the kids.

This kind of activism will lead to more types of this activism. The companies have no real way to police it. The flood of people unwilling to wear masks will simply grow.
You will be proven very wrong.
