Most people operating forklifts pull in $10/hr or more. That pretty much eliminated peej ..

PeeJ said the other day that he was a forklift operator.

He's a pretty trustworthy poster. If he posts something, you can take it as fact.

From a reliable source:

Worker was stacking sheet rock that was on the fork lift. The stack tipped and fell on the worker crushing him. They believe he was killed instantly.

That sounds like the pile that fell on him just happened to be on a forklift rather than being an accident involving operating it.

doesn't matter, terrible story, go to work on a random Tuesday, don't come back

This is how we are all going to leave this planet. Probably not all at work but certainly all on some random day of the week in some way or another. No one here gets out alive.

So the sheet rock was on the forklift while the forks were up and he was pulling it off to stack it on a pallet or something?

He was stacking sheetrock WITH a fork lift. The stack tipped OVER and fell on the FORKLIFT crushing THE FORKLIFT SAFETY CAGE and him. They believe he was killed instantly.

So, the stack that fell on him was or was not what was on his forks?
sounds lke you say he was stacking sheet rock, therfore he must have had a stack already and turned the forklift to go back and get some more to put on top of the already created stack and accidentally turned away and bumped said stack and it fell on him.

He had to have multiple stacks of gypsum board and one rolled over onto the cage leaving one on the forks.

That is the preferable way to go, unexpectedly, just not when you are the age this poor guy probably was.

The stack that fell on him was not on the forks. There are multiple stacks. He was starting a new stack in line and apparently bumped the previous stack which fell.
