In Boston, my boss lives on Puritan Road and I have friends out in Swampscott so I’m familiar. Cold night to be collecting candy!

Try having Halloween 2 Hours after having your power restored. Even the kids that come by car from other areas barely showed up this year because no one was able to plan family and friends parties because of not having power.

We usually have about 100 or so trick or treaters. We might have had 20 tonight.

My kids' Halloween looked exactly like every other one.

Kids everywhere in the neighborhood and most houses giving out candy.

But my point is it’s not a statewide thing. Frankly I don’t have kids so I don’t care either way.

It’s different with a kid. He was pretty bummed out about it. He put on his spider man outfit and has been ripping through the in laws fake casting spider webs. He had a good time. Glad to hear it’s a little less 3rd Reich out there.

So why not take him to a neighborhood/town that it wasn’t canceled in?

This Halloween was a bust. I hate that kids don’t get to enjoy it anymore, and hell that was prior to Covid even. Now it’s absolutely nothing,

Even the bull dykes libs over here in Marin County in the North Bay Area are putting out candy by the front door and allowing their trans-kids to trick or treat

My neighborhood nailed it.

Lots of the kids go together. We left a bowl out and came back to half left. Even when kids came while we were there they only took one or two.

One street end had a whole set up with fire pits, kids got three big treat bags and then they even had hot dogs grilling.

If you have the lights on and candy out, you will get a fine

WTF? Can they fine people for something that is not against the law? There should have been some type of campaign to promote putting out candy. Challenge the state.. See if they are willing to have to process all of those fines.

And what will they do if someone doesn't pay?

In Marietta, Ga. East Cobb are we had a pretty good turnout. We did our neighborhood and the one across from us. One house with lights on and decorations told the kids she wasn’t handing out candy because of Covid. She actually swept the stairs the kids were on after they left. All in all it was pretty normal trick or treating though.
