Thanks. I figured it would be more than an inch. I am close to the same area. I am very close to Oak Hills and I know what loud thunder you were talking about. Neighbors house got hit by lightning a month or so back and lots of our stuff got surged including our garage door motor. The strike was close but luckily no damage this time.

Anyone in the BR area know how much we have gotten so far today?

I'm in Oak Hills too. Based on how much the pool level is up, I'd put it closer to two inches of rain.

Supposed to get to 15.5 at robert. I dont think any property floods at that height. It gets to that every time it rains

Sorry for the delay. Took the route through port Arthur and Cameron yesterday. Only added 30 minutes to the total drive. Would've been close to the same amount of time had it not been for the Cameron lng facility traffic.

Leaving my house Monday. Supposed to get a ton of backwater from the black and red and the water is already so high. Hope for the best but I've got insurance and a place to go.

We have some farmland in Catahoula Parish near the Black River. Oh well, no soybeans for us.

Pretty strong late season cold front should shut things down for a few days.

Unfortunately, things look to stay wet in the longer range. I would probably go even more aggressive than the CPC is going in this outlook.

Good...things can dry out.

rds dc - your contributions have been welcome in these threads. Any discussions yet on the tropical outlook for this season?

My initial thoughts are that this will be another below normal season but who knows. There aren't really any good analogs given the widespread warmth in the Pacific and cold N. Atlantic.

Hey Burgeman, I read some of your posts.. you said you live in Whitmar Acres in Hammond? Two houses off North Oak Street? Tell me your not living in my old house on Silman Ave (26)? I was worried about it flooding when I saw the Fox 8 report on Facebook and the reporter interviewing my old neighbor Sonny Hill at Silman and North Oak. Let me know any details about the neighborhood as I am curious if any of my older neighbors flooded. thanks!

Pretty sure the women were expecting that.
