I've only briefly skimmed the first 2 pages, but I highly doubt anyone actually hates that person. The problem is that People Magazine deemed this literally THE MOST beautiful person. That's an outright damn lie. I see hotter women at my local Kroger than her. And it has N-O-T-H-I-N-G to do with her being black. There are plenty of hot black women out there, and probably some within the first 10 pages of that very same issue of People.
Like others said, this is just People's way of saying "hey look everyone, we aren't racist!"

For the record, I often find children of mixed parents to be extremely attractive (e.g. Rashida Jones, Lolo Jones, etc.).
