“The faculty member knowingly received 38 months of LSU salary and benefits without performing commensurate work,” auditors said in a report issued Monday by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor.

I worked at LSU during that timeframe and this guy's supervisor would have been certifying his time and effort (basically where his paycheck is coming from, i.e. LSU, research grants, etc) on a monthly basis for almost a year, followed by a quarterly basis after policy change. So this long term f-up lands just as much at his supervisor's feet as it does the professor's

As much as I detest the federal government they really need to appoint a special prosector to come down and run a train on all of the corruption that goes on in LA. It wont fix itself from the inside it will take outside intervention at this point.
