The person(s) who approved the BEC & Toonces should be hung side by side. I'd be posted up in front row

The engineering and business department were in one building?

Yes. Both colleges were in one building for 35 years.

Engineering had and still has other buildings but most functions that weren't chemical or electrical were in that building.

Yup. CEBA/PTF is a 168,000 square foot building. After the expansion and renovation, it will be 350,000 square feet.

300,000

After the expansion it'll be 380

168 was the "half" that engineering had before business moved out.

All of our engineering classes will be in one huge building of 350,000 square feet. LSU’s College of Engineering
is the fifth fastest-growing engineering school in the country out of 360 similar programs.

One building vs 12 main buildings and a dozen more annex buildings, just for engineering, LSU will have to grow a lot, but it has a nice football stadium.

Ugh. I'm just so jealous about the new ChE annex. I heard they'll have new labs. ANYTHING would be better than the one we have now, where all the units are decades old and most barely function.

Don't you just love academic smack? The point of this renovation and expansion is so LSU doesn't face the same problem other schools do. Namely sprawl. Which is what we have now.

Whoosh.

The new business school stuff is quite possibly the ugliest construction I've ever seen, even for LSU.

No. It's glass.

It looks like crap from Nicholson. But the interior and the view from the rotunda into the quad is nice.
