Not in my lifetime. Not in Louisiana. This law is purposely so restrictive that only very small number of patients will be able to even use them.

Come to Colorado and you'll see how far you have to go. Hell, we have to many restrictions and we have RECREATIONAL.

Someone was growing it in the back of some of the LSU Ag sugarcane fields back in the late 90's, and not just 1 or 2 plants.

Wasn't something ridiculous like $4B in the first 6 months or something like that?!

Someone is gonna realize the value to state funding.

LSU Ag Center Likely To Start Cultivating Marijuana

quote:

The Louisiana Legislature passed a bill approving the cultivation of medical marijuana during its recent session, giving the LSU and Southern University AgCenters the right of first refusal to grow it. Gov. Bobby Jindal is set to sign the bill as soon as Monday afternoon.

While medical marijuana has been legal for decades in Louisiana through a doctor’s prescription, there was no mechanism allowing for legal dispensing. The approved marijuana will only come in the form of a pill or oils.

I'm not a pro but my buddy in Denver does both. I thought he had to heat the wax using something more like a frickin meth pipe something. Not sure. But the high is pretty similar. Wax is stronger from what he tells me. If that's the case, keep me on the oils when I visit.

FWIW, I picked him up at MSY a couple years ago(right after legal in CO) and he had a vape loaded with oil the whole flight here and hit it often. Even vaping it in the pick-up lane. I yelled at him. "You stupid motherfricker that shite's not legal here. And how the frick did they let you do that on the plane?"

Then I said "pass that shite dawg!!!"

The older generation with money is still pretty conservative. Time for Louisiana to start making some money imo.
