How is it? It's pretty cheap the first two weeks of april.

Is it cheap because it sucks?

It's more of a locals place, similar to Monarch, Eldora and Ski Cooper. That's why it's not expensive. There's nothing much at the base area like there is at a resort like Keystone, Vail, Breck, etc. But the skiing is usually pretty good. It's up high, right on the Continental Divide on the east side of the Eisenhower Tunnel. The only drawback is that it's not that big.

that's the end of the season. Loveland is on the continental divide, so you'll probably have snow late in the season, but it's a cheap place to begin with because it's not a resort town per se.

if you like to ski in April then you won't care where you are. most places are already closed.

Have fun. try A-Basin as well.

A Basin is way better than Loveland and not far down the road

Just got back from A-basin last week. Great mountain.

Heard from a pro while we were eating that A Basin is the only good snow left in CO right now

Wouldn't surprise me. It's been warm down here so I imagine it's warmer than normal up the hill too. Supposed to get some snow over the next couple of days though.

I really enjoyed Loveland, I think it is the highest ski-able peak in North America or the US or something like that.

Nah, A-Basin is higher for sure and I believe the top of Peak 8 at Breck is too.

I skied the lower East Wall when we were there, really fun. I bet that shite is a blast with about 6" dumped on it.

Also the backside bowls look like heaven with powder

It's only $139 for 3 days at A-basin right now.
