If you don't mind the constructive criticism, two points.
1) Many people have already done Louisiana vs Texas and have done it much better than you. Switch it up and throw a state like Colorado to compare to Louisiana. Same results but it just feels fresher.
2) Put this thread on the Poliboard. These threads always end up on the OT but Louisiana not only has a Democrat governor but the biggest city is Democrat run and packed with minorities. This type of thread would be catnip to them so let the poor bastards have a little fun.

OP is half right. While Texas isn't really all that better, just go watch that video to the 2 guys getting mugged in the French Quarter a few times. I don't really know what the frick is keeping me here. For the longest time in my life, I was a blatant tourism advocate for south Louisiana.
