I keep the key to my safe in a certain spot, but at times there is another location I keep it so its always in one of two places. Thursday I went to open it and I could not find the key and evidently hide the backup key well enough I don't remember where I put it.

It is a standard safe. Once its unlocked there is a dial to turn complete the unlock process. It has the option to set a number code but I never set it. I am not sure if this is helpful information, but is there anything I can try to pick the lock? I tried a paper clip, but it isn't strong enough to do anything, when I turn it, the paper clip just bends.

Don't bother, I cleared it out already.

Crow bar? No key, then destroy it like the inner 13 year old wants to.

I've got a little lock box with almost nothing in it. Main reason it is empty. I don't trust myself to remember where I hid the key.

Maybe a cutting torch?

Seems as if there would be a place to bring it, but at the same time it sounds shady lol

There's probably someone out there that knows about locks and how to open them and make keys for them. Not sure what you'd call this person.

Some locksmiths can pick the locks without drilling them. You will just have to call around.

or you could try buying a lock pick gun

It's probably some store bought crap. Watch the video below.

I have one. They're crap unless you spend money and get an electric one but even then you have to understand how to use it properly and it takes practice.

It where I keep cash. It's a saving for unexpected expenses and gambling, but I don't want to wait until the next time I need to get into it.. to have to deal with it. If I decide I don't care about having to break it to get in, would beating it with a hammer eventually do anything?

There is not much in this world that a locksmith can't get into...if you truly have exhausted looking for the key/combination, then go ahead and call one.

Fwiw, he will get the safe open for you, but the safe will be pretty much useless until you find the combination/key, as the next time you close it, you won't be able to open.it again.

Rare earth magnet...should take 2-3 seconds to open it.
