I've been using Dualingo on my phone, and it seems to be a good program, but I'm looking for more ....

Can anyone recommend any tutors or user groups in Baton Rouge? (So that I can actually speak with people in Spanish as I learn).

Try wespeke. You put in what language you're fluent in and what language you want to learn and it matches you up with native speakers. You have conversations with them and they help you real time.

Duolingo is good so is Memrise the one I like best is Wlingua, liked it so much I got the pay version.

That and I watch three telenovelas a day on Unvision and listen to nothing but Latin Music. Plus I work around Mexicans so that helps.

Go visit the Walmart on Bluebonnet at Burbank.

You'll pick up the language very quickly.

I have some yard work that needs to get done. My buddy, Cesar, said he'd do it for free with your help while teaching you Spanish for a small fee. Just gotta scoop him up at Home Depot and meet at my house. Deal?

When my girlfriend used it she was brushing up on Spanish, so the foreigners would speak in English and she'd respond in Spanish. You can do it however you want though, it's basically bilingual pen pals.
