I wasn't speaking about this thread. I was saying that vets, in general, do not like breeders and promote the idea that dogs should not be bred. I get grilled every time I go in with my dogs about leaving them intact even though I have only bred them once.

SabiDojo goin all Bill o'reilly "War on Christmas" in this thread.

The "adoption mob"? Yeah, what a travesty, saving the life of a dog and saving yourself money. I had a shelter chow mix for 16 years and she was the best dog I've ever had.

And to the OP, if you're getting a dog for a four year old, you better enjoy taking care of the thing, because it's allllll you bruh

I actually get this more now in MS than I did in Baton Rouge.

My vet in Baton Rouge respected my ownership. He never once asked me if I wanted to neuter my dog.

You buffoon. I never said anything was wrong with saving a shelter dog. I just don't cast judgment on people for buying a dog from a breeder.

TeaCup Yorkie puppy

I'm sorry.

But seriously, as soon as I see them outside, I'll ask my neighbor where they got theirs.

Do you know anyone who has a yorkie? Especialy a "tea cup" version? You may get 6 months of "crazy puppy" energy from them, but they are basically lap dogs.

My 3 almost 4 yr old daughter has been hounding me for a puppy for about 3 months. Her birthday is in 6 weeks. I am looking for any suggestions where I can get a TeaCup Yorkie puppy in the Lafayette area. I know they are somewhat pricey, how much am I looking at?

Go to a local pound. Save a life. Have a friend for life.

I wasn't even given an option, which is fine because I don't want my dog menstruating anyway.

I was told "And you can schedule to get her fixed when you check out" at the end of her first appt.

Most vets push it pretty hard.

It's no secret that lots of posters on the O-T demonize dog breeders.

I was specifically referring to podunk trailer trash selling their dogs. Which is retarded-common.

Although I'd never buy from any breeder, I'm not an idiot and I know that there are decent ones.

Yeah people buy a pure bred female and think dollar signs in that they can just breed her and sell the puppies.

My cousin has a purebred French bulldog and he wants to eventually breed her.

I disagree with this but have just kept my mouth shut. Frenchies are a breed that can have serious issues with pregnancies and actually require c sections to deliver. Why put your dog through that to just make a buck?

I think a yorkie for a 4 year old is a bad idea. I love my yorkie, but he isn't a great playmate for a small child.

Dogs don't menstruate only primates do. Dogs go through diapedesis (bleeding) during the proestus period of their estrous cycle.

Well it takes no genius to know this is what I mean I don't want.
