I'd go the Zzzquil route... Melatonin made my mind wonder all night, couldn't really sleep.

Couple of beers, glasses of wine or shots. Usually does the trick for me.

Just take a couple of generic pink benadryls. That's all zzzzzquil is, anyways.

A couple of Advil PM and it's lights out for me. I'm fine when I wake up (8-9 hours later).

Melatonin

And lifestyle changes - cut back/eliminate caffeine and other stimulants - get a bedtime routine and try not to vary it. Remove television, other screens and all sources of light from the sleeping room.

And the usual stuff, get exercise, stay hydrated, keep a set schedule for going to bed, getting up, etc.

And melatonin doesn't actually help sleep, just initiates your brain into thinking its time to sleep.

Shots? Really? I'm not looking to compromise my long-term liver function.
