Looking for St Augustine plugs/runners

NOLA/Northshore. Do nurseries sell these or do you basically have to steal them from a friend/relative's yard?

buy yourself a quarter of a palate of sod and make plugs yourself....

Can't you just get sod for pretty cheap and plant that? That should eventually run...

A guy who did some landscaping for me a while back told me the varieties of St. Aug raised by sod farms today is not as good as older varieties. Find an established stand of the stuff and cut some plugs out of it.

Bring a backpack and some snips and go take a walk in your neighborhood. There are always a few people that never edge, and you can get a ton of runners very quickly. Do it after dark if you are worried about someone questioning you.

I used Bayer st aug fertilizer weed and feed and I've got runners sprouting everywhere. It might be too late to put it down but if it's not go get a bag and put it down.

I've bought them at Home Depot. They come in containers like eggs do. Easy to use. Cover a great distance. Be sure to fertilize with 888 to jump start them.
