Been seeing a special lady friend for about 4 months, but we will be moving apart soon. Is it too soon to start a long distance relationship since it has only been 4 months? Would be a huge bummer for both of us if we split up. Should I break it off now, or try to give the long distance thing a shot?

Do you like wondering if your girl is getting smashed every night by someone other than you? If not, break it off with her asap.

She will get side BBC, you will get side chicks. It's a win-win, really.

get out and I cannot stress it enough. It will not work, experience has taught me well

the pain of ending it now is nothing compared to what you will have to deal with during this relationship and the pain that comes later when it ends

end it now, stop fooling yourself into thinking it will work. Rip the bandaid and both you move on

best of luck to you, it's never easy

How far away and is the move permanent? Would it be realistic for one of you to move at some point? Those are the factors I'd consider. Long distance can work for a few months, but there has to be an end in sight or you're just wasting time IMO.

Yeah that's not going to work. Just being honest. I have done an hour drive before and even that was extremely difficult

5 hour drive is easy. I did 10+ hours away for all four years of college, and while it wasn't ideal we pushed through and are married now.

I'm moving for a job about a 5 hour drive away. Probably not a shot us both living in the same town as each other for about 3 years.

Also i know for sure cheating and the BBC will not be an issue.

whatever you have to tell yourself

4 months in having to wait 3 years is not close to worth it IMO

More power to you but sacrifices will have to be made. Your relationship with your friends will definitely deminish and if your passion for the relationship is not resiprocated you will get pissed at her for not being as into it as you are. It will be a huge point of contention

I tend to agree that it might be best to cut the losses and break things off. But I know I will look back and say that was the one that got away.

Do you think the issue here is mostly the fact that we've only been dating 4 months or that we will be too far apart for too long?
