I watched part of the video and realize my comment about really living off the grid is dumb. Dude lives on $1680 a year.

This guy lives with the very basics, but the average person or family could probably cut more things out of their life, reduce cost and likely live a less stressful life, but we live in a consumer driven economy and most people have expectations that go beyond the money they have.

How many people would rather have a smaller house that cost less? Or are you happy with the house you have and how much you are paying for it?

Its crazy to think about, but everyone decided to live like this guy the economy would collapse.

The economy wouldn't collapse it would just change dramatically. This type of lifestyle is not beneficial to your overlords at Blackrock and Vanguard

I grew up in the Appalachian's. These types are everywhere and when they say "Living off the grid" they actually mean living off the government. Now they stretch it by growing food and doing without things, but don't believe them. 100% chance meth is involved too.

Titus is an interesting guy. I have never seen anyone swing on trees like he did. How does he keep his feet from getting cut up without shoes. ??

Hope he finds that special girl who will provide him the family he is missing. He will no doubt get sketchy predatory calls by putting his phone number out there like that. Good thing Peter convinced him to not list his address.

I have a friend who has property in the mountains west of Durango, Co. He goes up there early spring and stays till the end of Oct. Most of the people in that area live off or somewhat off the grid. Told him I'm jelly, not because he was living off the grid, but because the high up there never gets above 90 and the lows in the 50's with no humidity.

About 10-20 cents per year/acre. Sounds right but I could be wrong. It's cheap whatever it is.
You sure? If so I’m headed your fkn way.

I think it would be in case of emergencies to reach fire or police services. He could easily get a cell phone but choose not to. He must pay for internet service in order to get a landline phone. He pays $90 a month for the landline/internet pkg.

there's a feller I follow on Instagram that was a video game designer and got diagnosed with parkinson's I think. He saved up all his cash, bought a small place in Canada somewhere and save his cell phone to post, doesn't have much. No electricity or running water, takes a bath in a tub he fills with rainwater. He doesn't seek medical treatment because he just wants to die naturally.

It's stupid low. I think it's valued at under a buck an acre if it's timber/waste, native pasture or improved pasture. Crop land is a bit higher.

Once it gets the millage applied, it's very cheap. And ag land can only go up of a max of 3% per year.
