Hodges gardens near toledo bend. That place was bad arse as a kid. Haven't been in forever but heard It's gone down since the family that owned it died off .
You heard wrong. They built a bunch of cabins and the lake is a protected wildlife preserve so you can't swim. We go fishing there all the time....no stumps, downed trees, nothing. Water is crystal clear and the fish are huge. Buddy pulled two 8 pounders (large mouth) out about 3 weeks ago and we didn't catch anything under 3 pounds. The whole place is great. You also can't bring your own boat, they will rent you a boat, canoe or kayak there....trolling motors only.
