Everyone goes quiet when the mass power outages and 60 mph wind hits around the time elementary kids would be on buses.

Exactly......there are mass power outages right now and tornados popping up all over and people want to bitch about schools cancelling.

Who is open?

I’ve only seen Dunham.

Wife (no pics) teaches there and they are always the last to close. Multiple times like today, they will be the only one open.

~5% of Baton Rouge has lost power, or like any other day on the calendar

Quit exaggerating, the state shouldn’t shut down for 5 minutes of wind and rain

My siblings out in Central (BR) don’t have power. We fared well in the ghetto.

Such a weird flex-Are you part of this ludicrous school closing decision making process? Please review school closings in Texas and report back. Also throw in N Louisiana just for fun.

Man I’m so glad Baton Rouge closed schools for this horrendously unprecedented wind and rain event. I’m just glad all of our houses are standing.
